You'll Be in Cloud 9 in Siargao

Siargao is the surfing capital of the Philippines. Surfing here can be done all year round. The most popular surfing spot is called the Cloud 9, a powerful reef break known for its perfect waves, attracting surfers from all over the globe.

The island has become a major surf hub, with international competitions and surf schools catering to all levels. We love to visit Cloud 9 between September to November or during the rainy season in the Philippines. During these months provide waves that go as high as 12 feet in some places with others at 8 feet.

The Siargao National Surfing Cup is the competition that provides local surfers a venue to showcase their talent and move up the national rankings. It's usually held between September 24-27every year. We have signed up for this last year. And looking forward to it again next year.

The professional surfers compete in The Siargao Cloud 9 Surfing Cup. It has a QS3000 rating which means that the world's best surfers joined to earn points to improve their rankings and get the chance to participate in other competitions around the world.
